Undergraduate Research Fellows in Linguistics and Language Science

Nature of Research/Program Description: 

We are excited to announce the Undergraduate Research Fellows in Linguistics and Language Science Program. This opportunity provides hands-on experience in linguistics research. If you meet minimum requirements, and are accepted to the yearly cohort, you will enroll in "LING 149: Research Skills in Linguistics" in Winter where you will learn about research methods and gain necessary expertise to assist faculty members. Upon successful completion, you will be eligible for a paid internship on a research project with a faculty member for Spring and Summer, with the possibility to receive funding for your own independent research afterwards.

Requirements before entering the program:
- At least three foundational courses in Linguistics (Ling 53, Ling 100, Ling 101, Ling 112, Ling 171)
- Requirement to be taken before or concurrently with LING 149:

- One class where research skills are a major component (Ling 147, Ling 151, Ling 172, or a similar offering from another department)
