Music from the UCSC jazz combos and our Big Band.

Charles Hamilton, internationally known jazz trombonist, composer, and innovator of jazz education, directs the UCSC Big Band who will perform:

Straight, No Chaser by Thelonious Monk, arranged by John La Barbera; Groove Merchant by Jerome Richardson, arranged by Thad Jones; Naima by John Coltrane, arranged by Manny Mendelson; and Haitian Fight Song by Charles Mingus, arranged by Andrew Homzy.

The jazz combos, directed by Ittai Rosenbaum, will perform a program to be announced.
